Food Post (akala food blogger)

I've been a food buff ever since, I am a dedicated eater and cook. I would want to post something about this brownie that I made, since I am trying this brand kung lami ba siya or not.

The Mix

Mixing the mix with 1/4 water and 2 tbsp oil

Ang cute ng oven namin :) pre-heat oven at 175C/F ata. hahaha

and the Finish Product: tadaaaaaaannnnnnnn

Until my next blog post friends,

A day of Inspiration: June 23,2012

Being with Gawad Kalinga is quite difficult to handle especially when your in Iligan.
Most of the people back stabbed GK in all sorts of way: media, news paper and Internet.
But luckily there are still some who believed in us in what we are doing and even helped their souls out to finish what we've started, Walang Iwanan.

These are common people who wanted to just share what they have just by plainly being a brother's keeper to everyone.

1. Kiwanis
This club is known to be of service for the children. They gave out school bags and supplies, uniforms and shoes. Who would have ever given these children such complete things for them to go to school happier?

Mr. and Mrs. Lapena dancing with the children. ang sweet naman :)

"serving the children of the world"

ang daming bata

Teaching action songs for the kids

THE "bag" :) i simply love the colors

the uniform, socks and shoes

They are also donating an additional 300 bags for the other children who wasn't able to get these cutie bags. Thank you Kiwanis. :)

2. Bayani Builders
Or what we know as "contractors", they really are an inspiration knowing that they really work hard even if the compensation is not that huge. I interviewed one of them and he shyly replied that he wanted to help others too thru building/constructing these houses. *awsssss, sana lahat ng tao kagaya mo kuya*

The bayani builders sponsored a boodle lunch fight for everyone on that day. Rice, meat and fish for the menu. Super enjoyed the experience since before I rarely see this people and now parang ang saya saya namin na nag-uusap.

They even cook for us :)

Tita Nene helping them out

We have 2 batches, ang dami kasi nila. hehe

all are giddy and excited for their first boodle fight

nasasarapan yata sila. hahaha

ate ann's first boodle fight, the only word that she said: WOW!

They are scheduled to finish on August first week. Days from now and we are gonna see their     masterpieces.:)

Thank you BB's :)

3. A beneficiary "I forgot the name" :)

This humble family invited us for lunch (after the boodle of course) since it's his son's birthday she even added that it's also a celebration of life after sendong. That no matter what happens, God is always there for us.
happy birthday! even if you covered your face. hehe

Being with GK is really hard even if people don't believe in what you are doing. But seeing and remembering what this people did for the village makes the virus of GK worth staying. They truly believe in our calling: Walang Iwanan!

lotsa love,

Our First Bride

2 months ago a close friend, barkada, sister and ally got tied up. Yes! Tied up, as in MARRIED! :)
I am fortunate to witness the unfolding love of the couple. Since I was scheduled for a training in Davao that time, luckily was able to leave Iligan a day earlier due to her wedding (thanks to my boss). Arrived early in the morning and without any rest, dress up and left  for Tagum which is approximately 2 hours away from the city. Prior to that, I met up with my closest friends and bestfriend at Mister Donut Ecoland, our itinerary should have been:

8:00am- meet up at the ecoland terminal
8:15am- leave for tagum.
BUT, this is really what happened:
8:30am- arrival at the terminal
9:00am- leave for tagum.
HAHAHAHA, I know, hindi talaga kami nagbago! hahaha

Anyway, we arrived an hour late, As far as I remember it was COMMUNION already. hahaha.  We sat near the altar to really get a good glimpse of the bride. Since we really arrive late, we just took photos of everyone around.

Our View :)

Freedom Build (June 12, 2012)

(Another late post, geesssshhhhh)

Last Independence day we did a good cause not just by celebrating our FREEDOM but also by helping our fellow Iliganons especially the Sendong victims to dream and love the country again. We have what we GK calls: Freedom Build.
